Finally best of show was this Keith Donnelly scratchbuilt bust of Kevin O Sullivan who worked in Walshies model shop & died suddenly after last year's show.

They are building around the back and would not allow the van around to the back door. So it ment you had to lug lots of kits around. I was told that was the reason why he was not there anyway.

Thanks for the excellent photos dude, I was wondering if we'd get to see some on here. Some fantastic models on display... love the tiger F-16 and the BMF Mirage.

That Flanker was a beauty too but it looks like someone got too close to the pitot tube! How annoying!

Ah, we'll that's a new one to me! Very interesting. I looked it up and it's due to getting the Su-33 to fit on the carrier elevators. You learn something new every day!

Cheers!

Absolutely first class photos, what did you use to take them ? High standard modelling too. I will have to go to next years show. In fact I was at their 50th anniversary show in 2008 and that was one of the reasons I came back to the hobby.
Again though great photos Anon. [smilie=thumb.gif]

He took them on his Fancy phone camera.

The Flanker deserved a medal TBH, I thought it was better the the Jap fighter but then again I do like the Russian birds. The AMX was also Class and I thought a bit better then the F-16 but what do I know!

The 1/72 Planes that won also stood out from the rest also. We were having a game between me an Quinny where we called the top three, Most of the time we were close. Miles out on the 48rs and tanks. good fun though.
Cheers

Cheers Jim but looking at them on a computer now & some are out of focus.Tis not a fancy phone anymore George, its around four years old now - but still not tempted to upgrade.Phones are overpriced.Still its better than using a Bertie era mobile I guess? Its easy enough to get good photos when people are displaying the models at their best.Next years show is their 60th. anniversary so it should be as good if not better than usual.
