D5 - the IPMS Ireland Nationals 2016.

Postby Prenton » Tue Oct 04, 2016 5:39 pm

Lads

just a quick reminder that the IPMS Ireland National Model Show is coming up next weekend.

The venue is the same as last year's show - the Plaza Hotel in Tallaght, Dublin 24.

The show is open from 10 am on Saturday 8th October, and goes on till 5 pm, and again on the Sunday (9th) from 10 am till 4 pm.

There is the usual competition - which is open to all modellers, whether members of the club, other clubs or no clubs at all. Competition registration is from 10 am till 1 pm on the Saturday, with the awards ceremony at 3.30 on the Sunday.

There will also be model displays, and an opportunity to buy unwanted kits and other items from modellers in our kitswop. There will also be the following traders present:-

Marks Models
Paul Walsh's Dublin Model Shop
Irish Transport Books and Kits (Diarmuid Byrne)
The Modellers Nook (from Belfast)
The Hobby Den (Kildare)
RB Productions (Radu Brinzan) (Cork and Leixlip)
Edward White (Wexford)
and
Mushroom Model Productions (from UK).

Entry to the show is a modest €3, for the entire weekend, with accompanied children under 14 free. It is also free to IPMS members worldwide (on productionof an up to date membership card).

Competition entry is €3 per model. You can find the rules and competition classes for the competition (with downloadable entry forms) on the IPMS Ireland website: http://www.ipmsireland.com/Events.html

Hope to see you there!

Philip

Some fantastic work on display there. A very high standard. Thanks for putting up the photos. I couldn't make it as I was out of the country so it was good to see some of what was on display.

Cheers!
