OK, more details:

Saturday 23rd workshops
- We are still waiting to get full confirmation on figure painting workshop
- Airbrushing basics will go ahead as planned, no issues there

Workshops will be provided for for free, but it has been agreed that 10 Euro per attendee will be paid towards the running costs. Tea, coffee, power, heating, use of the Museum premises...
Preliminary start of the day has been set on 11 AM, that'll give us plenty of time to go through all the agenda without rushing too much as well as plenty of time to have discussions about what we are doing, some tea breaks and what-not

Sunday 24th competition
- links to break down of Classes, rules and awards list are posted in one of the posts above
- Models could be placed on competition tables between 10 AM - 12 noon, awards giving ceremony is planned for 4 PM
- Fees: 5 Euro museum entrance fee, 1 Euro per model entered, but this is capped on 10 Euro max. This means, that if anyone enters more than 10 models into the competition, only 15 Euro will be collected in total

More details for workshop attendees will follow next week

Ok, so...

The Airbrushing Basics workshop will go ahead as planned.

We have been waiting for confirmation on the figure painting workshop, but we haven't received any as yet, so the plan for Saturday 23rd is as follows:

- Airbrushing Basics workshop starting at 11.30

Modules and rough timeline of the workshop:
- 11.30 – 12.00 setting up
- 12.00 – 13.00 introduction / a few words about composition of painted surface, paints and requirements for spotless airbrushed finish on a model. Surface preparation – practical part
- 13.00 – 14.00 Lunch break
- 14.00 – ?? Practical part: priming, single colour application, camouflage application, varnishing

This timeline is not rigid and will be altered during the course of the workshop pending on actual progress and requirements on the day.

Main goal of this workshop is general understanding of individual components which create final painted decoration on the model.
We are hoping to guide attendees through some basic, but essential, steps which are necessary to create solid base for any following techniques, like decal application, weathering, dry-brushing, washes and so on and which will not be covered during this particular session.

This is designed to be hands-on workshop and it is advisable that each attendant will bring own equipment – paints, airbrush, air compressor, kitchen towels, if possible. As well as some plastic parts or test model.
We have some airbrushing equipment available, but not in a quantity to cover all attendees of this workshop.

Cost is 10 Euro for the day.
Tea, coffee available on site and some eateries and supermarket are located only short walk/drive from the venue.

Filip
Great stuff wish I could drop in :)

An idea for the next time (as if you hadn't enough to do!!) get someone to film the demo and post it on U-tub. Reaching out to the people and all of that.

MM FB?

FB facebook, Not on that so cant help, The only Live Stream I know about is the one that runs through the Village.

Anyhow cant make it on Saturday, Parents had a visit from some Thieving Gypsy Bastards willing to wash the Drive for a mere 2k, No doubt when the loose Roof Tile appeared this would suddenly become 30K. They turned up Tuesday am and were met by the cops. Now they are pissed off a bit cause the Knacker Mobile was seized! LOL. Will have to put some security measures in place Saturday now. Thanks Gippos. :(
Cheers

Good man, George.

That's how to deal with people who hassle you, or those you know, like that.

The way to deal with bullies is to confront them, and they will always back away. Bullies don't like to be confronted. It may take some time, but they invariably slink away.......

Fair dues, Man!

Thanks, guys for your comments re.... Modelling Munster? [smilie=pdt_str.gif]

Anyway, personal stories - no matter how entertaining they might be - aside:
Those, who will be going to Shannon tomorrow, don't forget, setting up between 11.30 and 12.00.
I am getting ready as I write, dusting off my aircompressoers, getting paints ready and cleaning some of my airbrushes. Hoping to see you up there either during tomorrow's workshop or/and on Sunday with your models :o)b

Untill then...so [smilie=tease.gif]

Hot off the press:

Confirmation of Figure paining workshop has just gone through!

That means that Airbrushing Basics workshop will take 4 hours from 12.00 - 15.00, including breaks. Figure Paining workshop will last, roughly, 1 hour thereafter.
