beach bunker

Postby vw8243 » Wed Jan 22, 2014 6:03 pm

Hi all
while my other dio is drying and hopefully not shrinking ,i came across a bunker today that a friend of mine built a few years ago that he gave to me, now it needs repairing and a bit of tidying up but nothing major ,, now i had kept some styrofoam packaging that i could have made a bunker from but im going with the one i found today.
At telford this year i stood out side Great north roads stand knowing i was to buy somit from them " it never clicked , they do a great range of bunkers, [smilie=banghead.gif] .

Now this bunker is going to have to be almost on the beach Because I have half a liter of sand i brought back from omaha beach in 2004 so some of that has to be used ;)
not quite sure what's going to be happening in this one yet.ImageImageImage

Wow! Excellent idea Leo for really tying in this GB. That makes your build even more special.

That bunker looks like it'll need a fair bit of work to tidy up those battered edges. It's a good shape, just needs to be sharpened up. Looking forward to seeing this one take shape as it sounds like a really cool project.

Brilliant stuff Leo, would love to have a go at making one of those bunkers myself, saw a good few of them when was in Normandy a few years back as well, they are some inpressive structure up close, them photos are very cool, looking forward to seeing the finished product :DX
