It made Andre Rieu a fortune too.

Nice music indeed.

Relaxing, no vocals needed with it.

My granddad who was my best friend visited us always on Sundays for many years (or more often, or we/I visited him during any other moment or for a fine dinner since he lived nearby) and always needed to listen to the Sunday concert in the morning or an operetta.
He had loads of records and we had also quite a few.

That's how I started to appreciate classic....although I recognise the tunes I don't know all the titles or who composed them.
It was a good few years later before I finally saw this movie.

Got the design more or less done.
Found out it needs quite a bit material, I'm a bit short for the wings and gear doors.

Skeleton mostly made and drying, needs a few ribs here and there before I can span the skin around it.
This is the fun bit anyway.

Also have to decide about the colour scheme and how to pose it on the base.

Damn, it's harder than I expected... ....had to scrap several pieces and am losing my patience here! [smilie=pdt_nunu.gif]

Lots of filler needed now.
Had to change the shape a bit, cut a few corners here and there.

Pretty damn difficult to get the perfect curve at each side the same :o(p .
It needs more time than I thought and I need to get more materials tomorrow morning.
I think I will smuggle a few standard plane parts in it to make it easier.
Bloody Zarathustra!

How do you get the sides the same shape???????????????
WHO KNOWS THAT??????

A bit embarrassed now for pics
I need to brush it up a bit @o)
trying to cut a few corners and simplify the design and keep the walls a bit smoother iso with details >:oZ
I too think it's quite funny ]o| but I'll get something that resembles the craft and in the right dark colours most detail will be obscured anyway
it's only practice for the next build [smilie=thumb.gif]

ok then, after a lot of trial and error, changing shapes and design, removing a few parts here and there, scribing panel lines, filling, sanding and a little bullshit  ........heeeeere she is:

I proudly present the most important player of the whole movie: TMA0

Image

It means Tycho Magnetic Anomaly zero....so the one before the monolith found under the surface of the moon: TMA1 which was not found by the people.

I made it to scale and with the right ratio 1:4:9
The only other description about it is that it is full of stars, so I made it hollow and will be able to fill it with stars!
I placed it in front of Andre Rieu dvd for focusing and because he probably played some of the classic movie music.

Next step in this interesting build will be finding the proper base colours and then a little dio underneath it.
