made a start on the wheels........

........and having problems

as you can see from the instructions the tyre is sandwiched tween a wheel back and a 'rim' that makes up the front of the wheel

thing is the tyre is made from very hard rubber, the wheel back is a very tight fit to the point tat the squeeze of the tyre wants to push it out, and the 'rim' is actually too big, not a chance it would fit in the tyre so ive had to cut out about 3mm so it will fit

Add: for enhancing realism on strategically determined locations by the man in charge......the russians used that tactics themselves too.

major snafu

so a few days ago i had a go at doing a dot oil filter.........its been sat on the windowsill drying off

last night im at work, doing some boring tensile testing, mind wandering and thinking about the kits i have on the go, planning what i need to to when it suddenly dawned upon me that i didnt put the f*&%$£!* decals on before i did the oils!! [smilie=wall.gif]

so ive just been splashing plenty of thinnners on trying to wash off the oils, ill let it dry for a few days and then try again
