The DIЯTY ЯUSSIAИ Build

The rules are simple...
  • Running time: 15.12.2012 to 17.03.2013 (Paddy's Day)
  • Any kit, any scale, any genre, any era as long as it's a model of a Russian made machine (or a Russian person if modelling a figure).
  • Add as much or as little as you like. This includes aftermarket parts and scratch building. Or don't add anything at all.
  • Unstarted kits only
  • The finished models MUST be dirty in appearance. The primary aim of this Group Build is to force the modeller to weather their model and hopefully try some new weathering technique(s). This will make the GB a learning experience for all.

Great idea, GB in general and this one........hard to beat because of added requirement weathering and dirtying.
I wish I participated now but have 2 tanks halfway built: T-62 and IS-3.
Only a T-34/85 left but that has a clear body with internal detail so I want time with that one and not rush it for I have stuff to finish and am determined to do that first.

SO since this is going great looking at the participation, what is the next GB and when???????????????????
ASAP after this one as far as I am concerned.
How did you decide for this subject:
*democratically?
*by vote?
*forced?
*pick from a hat?
My approach would be TWO group builds this time, starting 18.03.2013 for 3 months.
Two because people can then choose one or both and there will be hopefully even more models than now already.
Breaks or break down during one means time / inspiration for the other!
Maybe have a chat Saturday at the meeting?

Great, nothing is impossible!
I'm even in on a GB that I would never have picked myself that's how flexible I am.
As flexible as a KwK 43 in 1944 Ardennes offensive.
