That looks amazing Anon, how you have gotten that battered metal look on the drop tanks and the base looks savage, really like the weeds, the streaking on the fuselage is as good as ive ever seen, i really love this you are a hero for sticking with this one an not giving it Dennis's brothers fist of doom solution. great to see her near the finish, well done man.
Man with hand in pocket, feel cocky all day

Got this one over the finish line at last leaving a snail trail behind me. It was a great idea for a group build.Tried lots of new techniques (some I never even heard of before) like hairspray, salt, bending thin metal without the help of Yuri Geller, pastels, making a base & diarama foilge. The kit itself was a 1979 release bought years ago for about £5 from Hannants & was last reissued in 2012.Basic enough with raised panel lines & rivets it won't be outdone till Eduard bring out a MIG15UTI version which I just saw a sprue test shot of so maybe a 2015 release?I succeeded in not using any aftermarket add ons & decals.
The last steps were just adding some higher weeds in the form of a few different real moss glued in place with a little Copydex glue. The advantage is it is simular to liquid mask but a cream colour & dries to a light almost clear rubber colour. If you get it wrong or don't like it it is easily ŕemoved to try again. Then a little more pastels on the base & a dab of mixed Tamiya paint to try to get a wet patch in one corner.
I'm happy how it's turned out.Thankyou for all the help & encouragement during the build lads
A few photos for the Ready For Inspection.
