Did a few BanDai starwars kits scale 1/12. Found it very relaxing. I have a few more to do.
I'm interested in sc-fi models and other things besides WW2 models.
I am gathering a collection of model kit equipment. Bought an airbrush, mr.hobby paints n lots of other bits... Total Newbie lol
My first real model kit is the Battlestar Galactia Colonial Viper MK.II I will attempt it soonish.
Been looking at some youtube videos on putting this together and painting it. So looking forward to it.
Here are the bandai kits I did. No need for glue
I cant seem to get the youtube vids displaying correctly.
Update: Delete the s in https:// at start of url.
Welcome to this great hobby of ours wait till you start lighting up them star wars kits then the relaxing part goes out the window
but Welcome to the hobby, practice with that ab on some old scraps of somthing to get used to how it works, dont just first it up and start painting with out knowing a few things
Also its a good lesson on how to clean it.
also learn how to dismantle it and reassemble it for when it needs a soaking in some solution to get at its internals for a good ol cleaning every once in a while.
Will deffo practice with the airbrush. Researching things at the moment.
Sorted the youtube.
Deleted the s in https:// at start of url.
The s is for secure. So I guess to share on this phpbb it needs to be standard http://
Paste your youtube video link.
left mouse over link to highlight
Press the youtube button that embeds it
Then just delete the s in HTTPS://
Hey Derek! Welcome to ISM and to the hobby! Nice to have a modeler on here with some different interests. I really like the look of those Bandai kits and your videos are excellent. Looking forward to seeing more of them in the future.
Good man for figuring out the YouTube glitch. I posted about the https issue some where else on the forum before. Not exactly the most user friendly feature but it does the job
Class job on the kits too, what i would love to see is them weathered then they would look epic but weathering is something you will pick up over time and once you see the difference it can have on a model you will never build the same again
