1/24 London bus dio

Postby kpnuts » Fri Mar 03, 2017 5:41 pm

HI all here is one I've been working on for a while, as you can see the bus is done
It's going to have all British iconic vehicles in it, including a Dr who tardis.

Here are the cars for it (I've realised I didn't put the lotus in it) I think it's looking quite busy.

I would definitely buy the bus again it's a hell of a kit with loads of plastic and the fit is outstanding, my only gripe is some of the decals are too big (it's OK if you know beforehand but a real pain in the butt after you've applied it and have then to cut it to fit)

That bus is one very impressive model! You certainly did that British icon justice. Great job and that diorama is going to be a something else!

Hi all next update, started the London taxi, I must say I'm a bit disappointed (not the kit it's good enough) it's just I could have knocked it out in a day easily, it is a VERY simple kit, yes it looks like a London taxi but maybe if it had a full engine or maybe the door handles were separate parts, I don't know what they could have done but it really is a simple kit.The kit is rated skill level 3 personally I think it should be level 1.

Anyway I've also started the Italari phantom 2 rolls royce (I've spent the same amount of time on this so you can see the difference) the taxi only needs the glass and body on half an hour, let dry add decals done in 2 hrs
