Mississippi

Postby gmccabe01 » Wed Jan 29, 2014 7:53 pm

Finished this one last year, (took nearly 2 years to build) life got in the way lol.
The Victorian figures and horses are 00 scale (see railway scales) and I think they add just a bit extra.
Most ppl say "Oh look little figures " when they see them, then I can point out the horses without showing
off and then the model is bloody brill lol.
The Spiral staircases in pic 5 were a nightmare but I got them on ok.(hard to see by pic angle).

Wow man thats a real head turner, took a few minutes of lookin but i think i see the spiral stairs, and all of those railings must have broken your heart. That is stunning, how long is it, im guessing about 1.5ft or so maybe 2 ??
Fair play to your perseverance and congrats on an epic piece :DX

That's beautiful Gary :o Some fine display of workmanship on show here. I can see how it took you two years to make. Absolutely magnificent! :DX

Thanks for sharing this with us, always nice to see a boat on here.

It was a kit, I think I got it for 90 Euro at the time, the kit is King of the Mississippi by Artesania Latina
