Built a while back

Postby gmccabe01 » Mon Oct 28, 2013 4:43 pm

Here are a few wooden ships that I built between 7-2 years ago

H.M.S. Renown (50ft steam pinnace)

Bismark

As you can see the Bismark is a bit large (lol) took 3 years to build.
All the others took about a year, don't know if you can see it but all the ships are done with 3mm planks
(except Bismark)
I didn't paint the fishing boats as I thought they looked better varnished (mistakes and all)
All photos taken in my old apartment which I'm sorry to say is bigger than the one I'm in at the moment

I like the small ones, look good.
My dad is building a Bismarck at the moment, nice one.

Beautiful models and a great display of your craftsmanship. Do you build models for the Maritime Museum in Cobh? I'm sure they'd be chuffed with your work.

Thanks for posting these and look forward to seeing more.
