WWII RAF Pilot

Postby Abacus » Sun Jul 01, 2012 12:52 pm

Usually do aircraft.Camera flash washes everything out a bit. Not great work but I was drawn to the evocative figure, something tragic, weary, futile, humble, courageous? Don't know, just can't put my finger on it! Aidan

Lovely work Aidan and a nice, unusual tribute to one of "The Few". You should be very proud of this one :DX

Thanks for the kind words. Left it for weeks as I got fed up filling pin holes, painting and then discovering more! Really rushed it at the end to enter the SMA comp for a bit of craic, so really have not done the figure justice at all. Problem is, I know the theory but sadly the execution is lacking. Next one will be better. BTW it's from Heritage Aviation and is 120mm. Aidan
