deagostini R2-D2 Build

Postby flashinglizard » Fri Mar 03, 2017 11:39 am

So I'm not sure if this belongs here but if anyone is interested, I have subscribed to the deagostini R2-D2 build.
The weekly magazine continues for 2 years [smilie=rofl.gif]
It works out quite expensive (wouldn't like to say overall cost aloud!)
Subscribers get 4 issues posted at the end of each month.
Its my first time doing anything like this, subscribing to magazine builds.

I wasn't going to reference it online but just decided well, once a month is not so bad to update with a few pictures.
So im on issue 8 at the moment. So another 4 weeks till next update :-)
Took a few images of the head frame part.
Starting to have bits from every issue mixed up :) All kinda lose.

Now this will be one show-stopper when completed! And only two years... it takes me a lot longer to build something out of the box!

It sure does work out expensive though... I worked out the cost when I saw the advert @o)

I'll look forward to the updates Derek. Will you be gathering video footage along the way to make one of your speed-build videos?

Thanks for sharing.

I think just some pictures for this.. I enjoy doing the videos, but not spread out 2 years work lol..
Might do a video half way through or something like that.. :)

Cheers

i could imagine the final price, but spread out over two years it won't sound so bad, and definitely worth dropping by to see the progress plus the bonus of installing circuits will always be useful, and from what i can work out this should be quite a big build
