Thanks george. the rigging was the hardest part of it but I think it makes the model....the sails were with the kit. i did paint them a bit to try and get some depth to them. probably would have looked better if I had made my own...next time.

[smilie=rofl.gif] Brilliant!

Michael, that's a pretty damn amazing build for a first model!! I am very impressed! I'd go around the bend with all that rigging. After such an excellent start I'm looking forward to seeing some more of your builds in the future.

Thanks Vinny
But since then I've built 7 WWll planes and to be honest the more i learn the worse they seem to get. I have to say that these forum's are a great place for advice and to be able to see how a model can be finished, it is at times inspiring.

I think you'd be improving with every build without you knowing it. As long as you're experimenting and trying new techniques and tricks on every build then you will improve. It's the best way to do it. If you screw up find a way to fix it... or else, get out the oven cleaner spray and strip the model and start from scratch. I've done it many times when I've messed up something. I did it last week actually. I cocked up trying to airbrush a mix for clear black. I wasn't happy with the result so out with the Fairy Power spray and right back where I started... clean plastic!

And any questions you have... fire away! The board has many talented individuals in many different areas who will no doubt give you great advice.
