Warspite gets a few scars

Hi all this is one I finished about 3yrs ago hope you like it, the ship is Academy's 1/350 warspite it's a lovely kit and the fit of parts is up to tamiya standards.

That is just amazing, such an ambitious project perfectly executed...stunning.

I got some leds (they're dirt cheap) you just need to know the forward voltage, which is usually between 1.8 - 3.3 (these were 3.2)(the long leg is the positive and the short is the negative)
If your going to have more than one led you could use (the led array wizard)(google it, it's free)
It's what I used for this dio you put in your source voltage and how many leds and it shows how to wire it up and whatever resistors you need.
So to the dio I glued the led to the cut off wing.

Covered it with glue from a hot glue gun (make sure you paint the led legs as the glue conducts electricity)(don't ask how I know)
Then painted it with oranges and yellows

Then covered it with cotton wool

I then sprayed it with brown grey an black using a swirling motion, and ended up with this.
