Wilhelm Bauer Class 241 German U Boat

Postby martay » Wed Mar 11, 2015 5:39 pm

Hi all, after a nice bit of fiddly work ive gotten this one over the line, it was a dream of a build no issues to mention and a very nice result, i added, as you will see, the railing along each side of the deck, 22, 0.5mm x 7mm styrene lengths with a long bit of stretch sprue over the top of them for the wire, really adds detail and realism, glad i bothered, and hope you like her, thanks for looking.

Have to give the stand another coat of gloss to hide the carrier and one or two tiny touch-ups but im pretty happy with this one, again thanks for looking guys.

What a stunner! Outstanding work Martay :DX Fair play to you dude, you're banging them out at a great rate and they're all quality. Love the paint job and the streaking is excellent! Beautiful!

Thanks for sharing with us!

Jaysus lads thanks a lot, very nice to wake up to, Jaydee i used the same 0.5 mm styrene for the aerials, i stretched it the same as you would a bit of sprue, but mind you its a lot harder to do, took ages to get them right, thanks very much guys im well happy with this one, looks amazing on the shelf, really appreciate the support it makes all the difference :o)b
