New member looking for advice

Postby Vacformedhero » Sun Oct 26, 2014 12:12 am

Hi there , I have begun to start building models again and want to try something new, I am hoping to build a large scale ship based on the victory class freighters of WWII ,
Is there anyone in Ireland producing fibreglass hulls ? Or is there any good links to European shops where large scale ship models whether plastic or fibreglass can be bought reasonably .

Also there is a vast array of scales open to this genre , which scale provides the most amount of accessories..... I would like to be able to see good detail on deck, trucks, tanks , crew etc ......
Thanks
Brian

1/350 is main shipbuilding scale .If using resin be VERY careful sanding .The dust from that stuff is dangerous !I was wheezing for weeks if not months after sanding it briefly (well under 15 minutes )

Thanks Again FS2005.... I didn't realise Resin is so bad for your health, I'll bear that in mind...
