Zvesda T-34/85

Postby Spud » Tue Jan 17, 2017 3:30 am

So the Plan for this is something like this.
Kocked out T34 with a German Mortar crew using it as Cover to Bomb the Ruski's

So far i have been upgrading the details of the non existent ones on the Kit :) i have taken some parts from my old Dragon Su-100 Kit, I have also made all teh grab bars from some Wire :)

the Fenders i bought in Telford a few years back for this kit. they are for Tamiya/Dragon kits but it seems to fit here with no issues

the Kit has No mountings for the spare track so i had to add that,

I also added some tie down for the bits, The kits ones were molded on lumps

Thanks Kevin. Not much left on the build now just some small things left to add. and then give it some life :)

Todays update was mostly the turret work.

the wire sticking out of the side of the turret it if the peep hole thing. i had to drill out the holes for them.

didn't see that one coming :D . Nice addition. Didn't realize they used such things on T-34's as well. Would be quite original to see it modelled (never came across one before)

yea they did. i took this from the Zvesda T34/76 which is a new tooled kit and looks pretty good. they had loads of different kinds of rollers so if you are handy in scratch building then you could make an interesting kind of roller

Nice chipping, like the 3d effect. Was the damaged wheel intentionally? In any case: good call
