1/72 Airfix Grumman Martlet Mk.IV

Postby eoinfinnegan » Sat Dec 09, 2017 10:45 pm

My latest build is the cracking Airfix Grumman Martlet Mk.IV, the kit is a little gem and falls together. Ever since I got into modelling I've wanted to build one of these but didn't think a manufacturer would be able to get the landing gear right but Airfix nailed it.
The surface could do with rivets but hey ho its what we expect from Airfix.

Very nice, If you want Rivets you should try the Original Airfix jobbie. did that years ago but your one is light years ahead.

Just one point I doubt you would see the two Ailerons positioned like that, the elevator yes but not those, One should be up and the other down, Not both down with wings Spread I'd reckon but happy to be corrected.
Cheers

Cracking job Eoin! Nicely worn and grubby looking paint job.

Thanks for sharing these beauties.

Cheers!
