Postby Wayne E » Wed Nov 01, 2017 9:41 pm

Here is my Trumpeter Westland Whirlwind in 1/48 the Decals are Classic Airframes, the paint is Tamiya Acrylics with Mr.Color Dark Earth. Added etch RAF seat-belts. Weathering was done using the hairspray technique.

Look fab Wayne, Even better in the Flesh. Great little Aeroplane that never reach full potential.

Very cool model just wondering me those paint pads. For my taste are a little too strong. Do you have any pictures of this plane based on which model you built?

This picture confirms that the V-HE aircraft had such damage to the coating.
But was the H-HE P6984 too damaged? Maybe yes :oj

It does not change the fact that the model is very coolly built :DX

Love seeing the weathering close up on this one. A classy build Wayne! A very battered beauty.
