My 1/48th Academy Hispano Buchon

Postby stephen8718 » Sun Aug 20, 2017 4:14 pm

hi guys another one finished. this is the old Hobbycraft/Academy kit. it goes together well if just a bit short on detail.only bit of trouble i had was with the large whisher decals that go down the side of the fuselage. i might go back when i have time and paint them on. Finished with humbrol enamels and Ak panel line wash. thanks for looking and next up will be the Old Hobbycraft/Academy T-33

Stephen,
Nice result, very neat.
The Buchon is a unusual mix of Brit(Griffon?) engine on a 109. Even the 109 looks to have elements of the E(tail and cockpit) and K (wings) as well as wing fences and a different cannon. They used these for filming the "Battle of Britain" did they ?
BTW what are scheme are you doing the T33 in? Lots of colourful schemes to choose from. Do a Cuban one for the craic!
