Pair of Airacobras

Postby Scanlan » Tue Aug 09, 2016 11:53 pm

Eduard Dual combo kit, some cool schemes make the choice of markings quite difficult, I'd have liked to do a two tone scheme also. My first time using Tamiya paints for an airframe, they dry so fast it was a quick build and masking was no problem, so I'll be using them a lot more in future, even though they are much more vibrant than Humbrols and their range is very limited (2:XF-57+ 4:XF31+ 9:XF26+ 3:XF1..yeah right!!)

Yes Wayne..I will be returning these models to the shop tomorrow afternoon as I am not too happy with them....I trust my statutory rights will remain unaffected.(what does that mean anyway?)
Cheers all...Owen

That's a great result.

Any problems during the build? Really banging them out and during the summer too. [smilie=first.gif] champion

You should try the Mr hobby aqueous range of paints. Spray a little better than the tamiya and have a huge range in colours.

Cheers lads, no problems with the build really, the canopy doesn't fit too well, just need to squeeze the fuselage a little and use strong super glue, which I didn't have so mine didn't fit so well, otherwise a fantastic package. I'm really must try them paints, had a quick look there and they do indeed have a great range..cheers for that.

Class work Owen, outstanding finishes as always. Great to see the same aircraft done up so differently.

Top class! [smilie=first.gif]

attention to detail is always appreciated  nicely done and throwing your own style into them make them unique, your builds Owen would make for a good catalog viewing... you guys should have your own magazine and they are a pleasure to see here on the forum
