"Calot Rouge",exercise by 1st infantry regiment, french army

Postby Julie MM » Sun Apr 23, 2017 3:42 pm

Hi,

Here is a report on the exercise "Calot Rouge", carried out by the 1st Infantry Regiment. This tactical exercise on open ground on the Sarrebourg lands took place from 10 to 12 April 2017.
More information and pictures here: http://militaryphotoreport.blogspot.fr/ ... libre.html

The booklet dedicated to the Calot Rouge exercise will soon be available and will deal in detail with all the operations that took place during this maneuver.

Hi Jullie
Great stuff thanks for sharing . Are you going to the show at Saumur in June by any chance. There are a few lads heading over for the weekend maybe we will see you there.

Any plans to scale up to 1:35 stuff as I quiet like some of your stuff only it isn't my scale.
Cheers
Brian

Hi Brian,

No, I would not be Saumur in June.

As for the 1/35, Model Miniature has specialized in 1/72.
However, we have produced some references to 1/35, such as an enhancement kit for Merkava (with droid included), French and IDF rations, decals for VBCI or for IDF wheeled vehicles, wheels for VBCI, AMX- 10, VAB and VBL.
Currently, we continue the range at 1/72, but maybe later, we will do a little more than 1/35.

Best regards
Julie

It's an upgraded version of the Famas. A system called FELIN, translated it stands for Integrated Infantryman Equipment and Communications. The system controls various optics such as night vision, thermal imaging, live video, comms, etc. Controlled by a wearable computer it will connect the soldier to others within the unit, A.F.V.s, command and control and any other unit using the system.

Serious piece of kit. [smilie=pdt_box2.gif]
