Cracked canopy possible to fix?

Postby Lego » Sun May 22, 2016 10:01 pm

Just wondering if anyone has been able to fix a cracked canopy before. I have a cracked canopy and I am just wondering if anyone has tried gluing the crack with tet for example and then try buff and polish it out?

Probably damage it too much I assume.

Try glueing it with Future or Alclad Aqua gloss, or let us know what it is, someone might have one.
It's a very stressfull hobby.

Very tough one to solve if at all possible as you can buff the scratch out on the outside surfaces of the canopy but not in the inside the plastic. Owen's tip is good as it might be possible for Future/Klear to seep inside the crack. I think a replacement might be a better option but definitely experiment as you have nothing to lose. Let us know how you get on.

Lol, I think many here have cracked canopies.

I won't chance it vinny. I thought exactly like you. On a 1/32 scale canopy I might have been able to get at the inside but not 1/72.

It will only be noticeable to me anyway.
